HS Recap; C-J Stops Dunbar; Ingram Duo Stops Sidney; Centerville Stops Northmont, Stays Atop GWOC

  HS BOYS HOOPS Recap 🏀🏀🏀

C-J Stops Dunbar; Ingram Duo Stops Sidney; Centerville Stops

Here's a few key Headlines, "Stars of The Week" from last night.

C-J STOPS DUNBAR LATE IN THE "GAME OF THE NIGHT"

The Chaminade-Julienne Eagles was able to knock off the Dunbar Wolverines in a non-conference clash between two of the better teams in the Miami Valley Region.

Dunbar made a late run but Chaminade held off the Wolverines with timely shooting and clutch defense.

The Eagles won the game 52-44. Chaminade went to the State Semifinals in 2 of the last 3 seasons.

On the other side, Dunbar has been playing well of late, and are the City League leaders up to this point. They are coming off a huge win at Flyin to the Hoop against Lebanon.

INGRAM DUO DOMINATES SIDNEY IN UPSET WIN ON ROAD

The Sidney Yellow Jackets have been in control of the MVL Division all season, and was able to come down to West Carrollton early in the season and get the win in convincing fashion.

They shut down the interior and forced West Carrollton to make jumpers all night, while the "Big 3" for Sidney went crazy all night.

Well in the rematch the Ingram family had one of those games that Coach Parker and the staff have been patiently waiting on, as they combined for 55 points in a big win in Sidney last night.

Senior 6'7 220 F Chylan Ingram, arguably the Player of the Year in the MVL, dominated the Yellow Jackets with a 30 point, double double performance while 6'6 260lb junior C Joe Ingram added 23 and a double double as well, which was too much for Sidney to overcome.

Its the 1st time in the cousins' history that both have had 20-point double doubles in the same game.

With the win it keeps West Carrollton (8-5) alive in the hunt for the MVL divison championship, while Sidney suffers its 3rd loss (10-3) in the MVL.

CENTERVILLE DEFEATS NORTHMONT, STAYS ATOP GWOC BEHIND GREENBERG BROS

The Centerville Elks defeated Northmont on the road to push their record in the GWOC to 6-2 and stay atop the League.

The Elks started slow this season, but behind the Greenberg brothers (Eli & Ethan), a balanced offense to go with a stifling defense, and top tier coaching, Centerville has pushed back to the top of the GWOC. This is a team you have to watch going into 2nd half of the season and the OHSAA Playoffs.
