Its Official: DPS Alum Quinton Alstork Hired as Head Men's Basketball Coach at Clark State

Its Official: DPS Alum Quinton Alstork Selected for Clark State Men's Basketball Head Coaching Job

Mark Alstork to Be Assistant Coach

Quinton Alstork, one of the hottest young coaches in the area, was selected as the new Mens Head Basketball Coach, per reports from the Springfield newspapers and Clark State officials.

Alstork, who was a assistant coach with Rocky Rockhold at Trotwood two years ago, joined the Clark State staff on last year under the staff. Earlier this spring Anthony Clements stepped down after 6 seasons at the helm, which created a chance for Alstork.

After the process, Clark State AD Nazarae Butler provided the information that Alstork had been selected.

Alstork, known as "Coach Q" in the basketball circles in Southwest Ohio, who has been under a bevy of great coaches over the last decade, now will get to run a college program in need of a turnaround.

With a few top players such as Will Hill, Chris Herbot, Mauricio Diaz and Giovanni Roberts coming back, it gives Alstork confidence that he can get the team heading in the right direction in 2023-24.

"I want to thank Clark State, the Athletic Director and the selection committee for giving me a chance. I also want to thank my family, friends, and supporters who have stuck by me. And last, I want to give a special thanks to the coaches who have given me a chance over the years." Alstork stated.

Alstork has also made a point to add his brother, who was a college hoop star at Wright State before hooping at Illinois and overseas, as Mark Alstork will be sitting next to big bro in his first season.

"It's a honor to have Mark on the staff. I'm very excited for the season and the future." Very glad to have Mark's experience alongside our great staff and team this season at Clark State."

The season will start in November for Clark State.

Expect big things in the coming years from Alstork and Clark State.

"We're ready to roll. I feel blessed for this opportunity." Alstork stated.
