Miamisburg Able to Get Another Big Win Despite Coach Being Sidelined Due to "SuperSize Me"

The Burg used the fuel of the coach being sidelined to dominate Ponitz 50-7.

Miamisburg Head Coach was suspended for a game for playing a PG-13 movie to his team as motivation (Supersize Me). The word got back to the Miamisburg offices, which put the coach on probation for a week or two.

While most were outraged, the Vikings used that as fuel as they smacked the Panthers early and often. QB Preston Barr threw for 2 TDs, the running game amassed over 200 yards rushing and the defense stymied Ponitz despite Jvontae Barnes 174 yards rushing in the loss.

Vikings star Peyton Hoskins led the defense with 4 tackles, 2 TFL, and 2 forced fumbles on the night.

Northmont Star WR Wilkins Scores 6 TDs in Big Win over Dunbar

Northmont has been unstoppable all season, and that trend continued with a big win over Dunbar as Star WR Dalin Wilkins went crazy in week 3.

Wilkins would score 6 TDs on 11 catches as the Wolverines had no answer for the Bolts offense, as Cahke Cortner threw 6 TDs and 220 yards as the Bolts move to 3-0. Top DPS player Jayvian Graves scored a rushing TD and grabbed a interception to lead the Wolverines. Dunbar falls to 1-2. Northmont stays undefeated at 3-0.

Trotwood Holds Off Springfield in Game of the Week

The Trotwood Rams honored coach Maurice Douglass during the game as the current Springfield coach helped lead the Rams to their first title. However the Springfield coach wanted nothing more than to sneak out with a win, with their starting quarterback sidelined.

However, the Rams took advantage of some early miscues, came out firing and was able to hold off the Cats in the 2nd half of a intense 21-20 victory at Trotwood HS.

Trotwood DB Michael Smith ran a interception back on the Wildcats first drive, which set the tone for the Rams.

Trotwood would take a 21-14 lead into half, and would preserve that lead as the Wildcats would miss a extra point to tie the game, then fabolous freshman Darius Dennis ended the game with a huge interception to send the Rams into a frenzy, and send them to a 2-1 record.

WR Armani Rodgers was brilliant early, and the combo of him and Star QB Tim Carpenter shined brightly in the 1st half.

Springfield would dictate the 2nd half of the game, but was not able to turn that into a win, as the Wildcats now sit at 1-2 in the early season heading into a big rivalry game at Wayne HS this weekend.

Trotwood defense was led by Jamarcus Whyce with 5 tackles and a forced fumble while Keymaurie Henderson led the team with 8 tackles and a sack.

Wayne Stifles Akron St-Vincent St-Marys as Hammonds, Williams-West, Wilson, Lovett Come Up Big

The Wayne Warriors were down 11-0 at half, but the defense turned the tide and Jerrell Lewis got the offense rolling as the Warriors upended the Irish 22-11 to move to 2-1 on the season.

The defense dominated in the 2nd half as Star DL Javon Hammonds wreaked havoc with 9 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and a sack while DBs Elisah Lovett grabbed a clutch interception, Dray Wilson recovered a fumble and grabbed a interception and Jussiah Williams-West clinched the game with a Pick-6 to send the Warriors into the winning column.

They will face Springfield this Friday in a huge rivalry game.

Farimont was able to run the ball in the battle against LaSalle, but the Firebirds came up short in the game as LaSalle won 14-7. LaSalle held a lead for most of the game until Fairmont scored in the 4th to make it a game. Justin Turner Jr (122 yds) and Brock Baker (53) helped combine for 200 yards in the loss.
